About Emily Edge

Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Emily Edge is proudly Canadian, and a painter whose deep appreciation for the natural world is evident in every piece she creates. Continuously evolving her practice, she embraces new subjects and techniques with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a desire to share a meaningful connection with the viewer.

Whether depicting a coastal sunset, a winding country road, or the distant skies of Europe or Fiji, Emily’s work invites viewers into immersive landscapes filled with emotion and atmosphere. Through careful detail and a distinctive use of colour, Emily captures the essence of place, creating emotive scenes that everyone can enjoy.

Artistic vision

As an emerging Canadian artist, Emily's acrylic paintings on canvas or locally-sourced stone celebrate the raw beauty of the West Coast. Living on Vancouver Island, she draws daily inspiration from its shifting skies, rugged shorelines, and quiet moments by the sea.

Since 2019, her work has featured primarily seascapes and sunsets, offering a reflective glimpse into the beauty of nature and the feeling of being immersed in it. Emily's paintings invite viewers to slow down and reconnect with the natural world.

In 2025, her latest work has begun exploring the contrast between natural and built environments, weaving subtle urban elements into her landscapes. This evolution reflects her curiosity as an artist and a growing interest in how human presence intersects with the natural world.
